Keeping the basketball action alive after the NBA season and playoffs, the NBA Summer League returns to Las Vegas from July 12 to July 22, promising some fun in the sun and thrilling on-court action.

Catch all 30 NBA teams from the Eastern and Western Conferences as rookie players hit the court to showcase their skills. It's a prime opportunity for fresh talent to impress scouts and make their mark ahead of the upcoming NBA season.

NBA Summer League: Format & Schedule

Three main NBA events are happening this July, known overall as the NBA Summer League:

  • California Classic Summer League (Sacramento and San Francisco): July 6 - 7: Featured eight teams, including two from the Kings and the Chinese national team.
  • Salt Lake City Summer League (Salt Lake City): July 9 - 10: Fielding four NBA teams and their rookie players: Utah Jazz, Memphis Grizzlies, Philadelphia 76ers, and Oklahoma City Thunder.
  • Las Vegas Summer League (Las Vegas): July 12 - 22, featuring all 30 NBA teams. The venues include the Nevada Thomas and Mack Center and the Pavilion.

The NBA Las Vegas Summer League features an action-packed schedule with 76 games played in a round-robin format. Unlike the NBA regular season, where games last 48 minutes, Las Vegas Summer League matches are 40 minutes long.

After each team plays four games, the top four teams advance to the Playoffs. There will be two semifinal games on July 21, with the overall Grand Final match played on July 22. The remaining 26 teams will play their fifth consolation games on July 20 - 21.

Every NBA Summer League game will be broadcast live on various TV channels, including YouTube, TSN, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, NBA TV, and local TV channels.

Portland's Donovan Clingan will compete in the NBA Summer League.

The NBA Summer League is a prime platform for rookies and undrafted prospects to showcase their skills to talent scouts who may be watching. With exciting debuts and promising young talent, the Summer League offers a chance for rising stars to shine on and off the court.
