Guess what time it is? The pinnacle of competitive Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports, the M6 World Championship, is now just days away! Officially kicking off on November 28 after the Wildcard Stage, sixteen of the world's top teams will battle it out for a slice of the massive $1M prize pool and the coveted title of the best team on the planet.

Since reigning world champs Falcons AP.Bren didn't make the cut in MPL PH, we're guaranteed to see a new world champion rise to glory on the epic battlegrounds of Kuala Lumpur, as the M Series returns to its roots. But hey, in the unpredictable world of MLBB, anything can happen at the Grand Final!

MLBB M6 World Championship

M6 World Championship: Format

The M6 Mobile Legends World Championship, powered by Moonton Games, is here for its thrilling sixth iteration. This epic tournament kicks off with the Wildcard Round on November 21, with the main event beginning on November 28.

Here's the complete format breakdown covering all three main phases of the tournament.

Wildcard Round (November 21 - 24)

  • Eight Wildcard teams are randomly drawn into two groups, single round-robin
  • All matches are played Bo3 in the Wildcard Stage
  • The top team from each group advance to the Decider Stage, with the two teams playing in Bo5 Decider Match
  • Only the winner will advance to the M6 Swiss Stage

Swiss Stage (November 28 - December 5)

(Previously known as the Group Stage)

  • Sixteen teams play in a Swiss format with five rounds, mostly played as Bo3
  • In Round 1, the 16 teams will randomly match and play a Bo1 match
  • In Round 2, the eight teams that have 1-0 will randomly match, likewise with the teams that have 0-1
  • In Round 3, the four teams with 2-0 randomly match, the teams with 1-1 randomly match, and the teams with 0-2 randomly match, with the loser being eliminated
  • In Round 4, the six teams with 2-1 will randomly match, and winners will advance to the Knockout Stage. Meanwhile, the six teams with 1-2 will randomly matched, and the loser will be eliminated from the event
  • Round 5 is the final round, with all teams holding a 2-2 record being paired up. The winners will advance to the Knockout Stage, while the losers are eliminated

Knockout Stage (December 9 - 17)

  • Eight teams compete in a double-elimination bracket
  • All matches are played Bo5, except the Upper Bracket QFs (Bo3) and Grand Final (Bo7)
  • The winner takes home the lion's share of $1,000,000

M6 World Championship: Competing Teams

While technically 23 teams participate in the MLBB M6 World Championship, only sixteen will compete in the main event. This structure mirrors the League of Legends World Championship format, where initial stages determine the final contenders.

Fan favorites Fnatic ONIC PH and Aurora Gaming both look poised to bring home the trophy for the Philippines as M5 World Championship winners Falcons AP.Bren failed to qualify in MPL Philippines Season 14.
