2024 Esports World Cup: Betting Tips & Tricks

With over 20 different games at the Esports World Cup, being a beginner bettor can feel overwhelming with the sheer number of options available. Take a deep breath and let Rivalry help you navigate through the process.

Here are some straightforward tips and tricks to get you started with your Esports World Cup bets:

Play the game(s) you're interested in

Familiarize yourself with the games featured in the tournament. Whether it's DOTA 2, League of Legends, or others, understanding the gameplay and current meta can give you an edge over other bettors. Choosing a game you know well can also give you the upper hand.

Get to grips with available betting markets

The best esports betting sites, like Rivalry, will have a selection of betting markets available. These can range from outright 1v1 Match Winner to Handicaps and Totals. Adapt your betting strategy to suit your preferences and knowledge. Especially for esports like LoL, DOTA, or CS2, we also offer Same Game Combos for bigger brain bets.

Rivalry offer all our Esports World Cup odds as decimal points to express the likelihood of an outcome. The lower the number, the more likely an outcome. For example, if Team A is listed at 1.25 odds and you bet on them, you'll win 1.25x your OG bet.

Analyze teams and rosters

Do your homework before your chosen tournaments start. Plenty of well-known esports organizations are competing in the Esports World Cup, like T1 from South Korea or LOUD from Brazil.

Keep track of the top teams and their recent performances. Consistency and form are crucial indicators when placing bets. Liquidpedia is a great free online resource for doing research.

Budget your bankroll

Responsible betting and budgeting is the golden rule of all betting, but the most important one. Allocate yourself to a strict budget and stick to it. Avoid chasing losses and emotional betting - you can always set self-exclusion limits on your account or contact our customer support team to guide you through the process.

Ultimately, our best betting advice for the Esports World Cup would be to choose an online provider that is legal, licensed, reliable, and offers competitive odds on the esports titles involved. Luckily, you're already in the right place with Rivalry! Please create a new account today to use our welcome bonus! GL HF.
